WebJunction is always looking for new partners to provide our members with the best possible learning opportunities and I am excited to announce a partnership with University of North Texas to offer their LE@D courses! These courses are designed just for library staff – look at the great topics covered:

    Library Privacy & Confidentiality
    Managing Difficult Patrons with Confidence!
Providing Excellent Customer Service in a Multi-Cultural Environment
    Copyright Basics for Libraries
    Improving Your Communications Skills
    An Overview of RFID Technology
    Reaching Teenagers
    Using Databases
    Harnessing the Internet
    Improving Co-Worker Relationships
    Info-Age Etiquette
Nutrition Information: Saturate Your Knowledge, Not Your Fat Intake
    Grant Writing Basics
    Volunteers: Recruitment, Development, and Supervision

These courses will be facilitated by the University of North Texas until September. This facilitation will take place as you go through the course at your own pace. UNT’s facilitation involves having a UNT graduate student or staff member participating in discussions and exchanges between students, answering posted or e-mailed questions about the use of WebCT, and posting recommended external resources related to course topics.

If you want more details about these inexpensive and relevant courses, visit WebJunction’s Learning Center . Once there, scroll down to find the University of North Texas LE@D Courses. Enjoy!
