LIS programs are diving back into the academic year and WebJunction is staying connected with the students aspiring to get that degree and impact the library world. Share your experience and accomplishments with our community.
Post-Tracks, the student peer-reviewed online publication is in its second volume, fourth issue. The call is out for reviewers and submissions of student papers. Typically, the majority of participants want to be reviewers with many fewer willing to submit their work for review. That’s human nature, I guess—to be the critic, not the critiqued. I urge all of you students (and recent graduates) to take that bold step: put your work out there. If your paper is accepted, it will look good on your resumé and it will be discoverable by search engines. Go for it!
We have an energetic new Moderator for the LIS Faculty & Student Lounge forum: Kim Braun (kimreadthis). She’s just starting at Drexel this fall. She wants to know where you are attending and what you think of your program and classes. If you’re still wondering about the value of the degree, you’re not alone.
